I think the most important challenges of poultry industry in my country is the feed costs. generally speaking, all the charges including feed costs, day old chick costs, vaccination costs are relatively expensive in comparison with price of meat.

Hi all,

I'd like to suggest that we discuss current challenges that the poultry industry is facing is different parts of the world (i.e. your country or region).

Is it feed cost or diseases outbreaks? Efficacy of vaccination programs? How about biosecurity? I'd also suggest that you have a look at Chris Wright's blog on the main page of AnimalAgNet website.

Please share your experiences so that we can learn from each other.

Hi, i´m a student of veterinary medicine last year, I am doing internship in poultry slaughter plant in Bogota and I would learn to farm too, am looking for a practice in Colombia or in another country.
